We are one of the major UK centres for education and research in health and related subjects. This one-day meeting brings together microbiologists, consultants in infectious disease, infection control nurses and biomedical and clinical scientists to hear updates on recent “hot topics” in all aspects of infectious disease. This year we hope to cover topics that include Monkeypox, Lassa Fever, Myocarditis and many others. IHTM alumni have gone on to assume leadership roles in global health – in governments, non- governmental organisations and/or academic institutions. The allocation of graduate supervision for this course is the responsibility of the Nuffield Department of Medicine and it is not always possible to accommodate the preferences of incoming graduate students to work with a particular member of staff. Under exceptional circumstances a supervisor may be found outside the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
